Breast Cancer and Diabetes Awareness Event 2023 is on Sunday, October 29, 2023. The start time is immediately following 9:00 AM Sunday Morning Worship Services. During the month of October after our Wear Pink Sunday, there are other health awareness initiates we will focus on. Join Us to Learn More About, Breast Cancer and Diabetes. We will have two dynamic and inspirational speakers MaxCine Jackson and Dorotha Rohlfsen to share helpful information with you. These are items which should be focused on daily and not during a specific health month. Please remember that November is National Diabetes Awareness month. You can also visit the website of the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association for additional resources or to make a donation.
In recognition of these health initiatives, Pilgrim Baptist Church will have information available pertaining to each subject matter topic. The key focus is to dedicate your time to learn as much as you can to help yourself, a family member, friend, a neighbor, or co-worker who make be in need of some assistance. Thereafter, you will be able to share what you have learned and prepare yourself with this wealth of knowledge.
As a matter of fact, plan your meals; design an exercise plan by either walking or running. Before you begin any routine or alter eating habits, please have a conversation with your doctor. Get the facts by reading the labels and asking questions.
The FREE event will take place in our Leola Jones Fellowship Hall. There is plenty of parking in the rear of the church and available on the street too. There is no need to register.
Therefore, it is a good idea to learn about breast cancer, diabetes, and more importantly any other disease you would like to learn about. There is a saying; the life you save may be your own. Consider preparing an exercise plan. As an advocate, encourage women and men to get an annual physical. As a result, a spouse, child, parent, sibling, co-worker, or friend may become your exercise companion. Not to mention, visit the Eat Right website for a helpful resource on Food, Health, and Fitness. PBC will disburse the resourceful informative literature while supplies last. Do you have questions about Medicaid or want to learn more about it? To learn more and identify resources in your area, visit NEHealthMatters.org. Know What is Changing in Medicaid?
The Breast Cancer and Diabetes Awareness Event 2023 will identify and bring health awareness to the church and community. Talk to your doctor or a dietitian at the local grocery store for further discussion. Of course, there will be individuals onsite to answer your questions and to share informative information. PBC Show Your Strength!
